Dr. Barb Kerr and the Counseling Laboratory for the Exploration of Optimal States (CLEOS) would like to announce the New Voices in Creativity and Intelligence Conference, hosted at the historic Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence, KS, November 1-3, 2009.
New Voices is being sponsored by the Williamson Family Endowment and the Department of Psychology and Research in Education department at The University of Kansas to help celebrate the Centennial anniversary of the KU School of Education.
"New Voices" is an opportunity for psychologists, educators, students, and young professionals to gather together and explore the new frontiers of research in creativity and intelligence. Established experts in psychology, neuroscience, and assessment will join forces with up and coming pioneers in a collaborative environment to lead our field toward a new era of innovative study.
We are very excited to be hosting professionals such as Dr. Linda Gottfredson, Dr. Bonnie Cramond, Dr. David Lubinski, Dr. Camilla Benbow, Dr. David Lohman, Dr. Mark Jung-Beeman, Dr. Rex Jung, Dr. Greg Park, Dr. Jonathan Wai, Dr. Kyung Hee Kim, and KU's very own Dr. Neil Salkind, Dr. Steven Lee, and Dr. Matt Reynolds. Additionally, students, faculty, and professionals may submit proposals for poster or lecture presentations of original research or applications of research. By participating in this conference professionals will be able to earn Continuing Education Credits or KU credit.
If you are planning to attend the 2009 NAGC convention in St. Louis, transportation will be provided from Lawrence to St. Louis.
