call for proposals

We invite you to submit a proposal for a presentation at the NVCIC celebrating the University of Kansas Centennial Anniversary for the School of Education at The Eldridge Hotel and Convention Center in downtown Lawrence, KS.

 

“New Voices” is an opportunity for psychologists, educators, students, and young professionals to gather together and explore the new frontiers of research in creativity and intelligence. Established experts in psychology, neuroscience, and assessment will join forces with up and coming pioneers in a collaborative environment to lead our field toward a new era of innovative study.

 

The “New Voices in Creativity and Intelligence” conference is sponsored by the Williamson Family Endowment under the direction of Barbara Kerr, Williamson Family Distinguished Professor of Counseling Psychology and the Department of Psychology and Research in Education.

How:

» Poster: Permit members to present research findings, materials and/or techniques within an atmosphere that encourages interaction with persons who come to view the posters. The author and/or co-authors must be present during the poster session.


» Lectures: Single-speaker presentation on research, applied topics and/or intervention techniques. Lecture presentations are limited to 15 minutes in length, typically 12-13 minutes of presentation and 2-3 minutes for questions. Lectures will be combined with other presentations of similar topics into 1-1.5 hour blocks.

 

Submission Details:

For your presentation to be considered you must submit a 150 word abstract. Please make your abstract as complete and descriptive as possible. This abstract will be used in the review process and accepted abstracts will be printed and provided to conference attendees. To be considered for full review, all specified information must be included. Abstracts will be evaluated by blind review.
